Just got back from a very pleasant lunch in Weybridge with White Hart, first time we’ve met face-to-face despite knowing each other online for a few years now. It was – to trot out the old cliche – good to put a face and voice to the name and writing style.
Mr Disorganised here, though, managed to under-estimate the traffic and turn up 15 minutes late, then leave the receipt behind in the restaurant afterwards – scuppering the plan of setting the bill against tax…
In other news, we had a big delivery of shopping today from Tesco Direct, which had almost everything we ordered except my hair gel. This means I have been without any for a week now. Initially I thought it would be interesting to see how my hair reacted to being free of gunk for the first time in over 20 years. Now, however, I know: it behaves itself for about half an hour and then collapses forward until it resembles a bird’s nest that’s been dropped from a great height.
At least that means it can’t be disrupted any further by the well-fed lie down that I’m about to have. I like being off work!
