Have just been watching pictures on the ITN news of people milling around in New York after evacuating buildings and public transport following a power failure.
When
Seems we've escaped that. But great swathes of the most populated parts of North America are without power. The mind boggles at how the world's greatest economy could be so vulnerable.
I guess that's something they'll analyse once the juice comes back on in the newsrooms.
But even though the cause looks nothing like what it might have been, I for one watched those aerial shots of New Yorkers just now and thought 'these are pictures that I never wanted to see again'.
